THE KERRY WAY CONTINUES – 2 DAYS AT A TIME!
The Kerry Way is Ireland's most famous long distance “waymarked walk” – totalling c.110 miles from Killarney – on through the breathtakingly beautiful and historic Ring of Kerry mountain and coastal landscapes and returning to Killarney.
This programme caters for those who love the meandering, historic and diverse terrain covered by the famous Kerry Way, but who don't have the available time to do the entire 110 miles of the Kerry Way over consecutive days. At c. 110 miles (excluding a number of spurs), the Kerry Way is Ireland's longest and arguably most famous of the waymarked ways. While it has been walked in full by thousands of people, many others who wish to do so, don't have the necessary time or indeed level of fitness to do it all over 8 or 9 consecutive days - so now they can do the Kerry Way in the Walk Killarney & Kerry programme but spread over different weekends
The next two days are rescheduled for Saturday March 13th 2010 (Glenbeigh to Foilmore) and Sunday March 14th 2010 (Foilmore to Waterville).
Distances covered per day will range from 11 to 15 miles. As always, participants must ensure that they are suitably fit for the walks and that they are properly attired in terms of walking boots, raingear etc. The fee for each days walk will be €25.
