Muckross & Dinis

This is a 13 mile walk in the killarney national park along the shores of Muckross Lake & the meeting of the waters, where the 3 lakes meet, which can be walked or cycled. It is flat terrain so not difficult. We can arrange bicycle hire for you & detailed maps of the area for you to take with you.

Ross Castle

Ross Castle

Ross Castle is a 15th century castle, on the edge of the lower lake in the Killarney national park. The castle has been restored and it is possible to take a guided tour. One can take a horsedrawn carriage, known as a 'jaunting car' from town to the castle. Boat trips around the lakes of Killarney also depart from here.

Muckross House and Gardens

Muckross House & Gardens

This victorian style mansion, built in 1843 & centrepiece of the Killarney national park, is now one of Ireland's most popular visitor attractions. The gardens are renowned for their collection of azealeas & rhododendrons. There are 'jaunting car rides' to and from town and more information can be had on www.muckross-house.ie

Muckross Abbey

Muckross Abbey

This 15th century franciscan abbey was destroyed by the cromwellian forces in 1652. Although a 'ruin', the abbey is well preserved and access is year round with free entrance. For more info, see www.killarneynationalpark.ie
